The End

As the deadline becoming earlier, today is the due date. I want to write the last blog this semester.

This is the first time for me to open a blog. Before, I didn't like writing blog. I don't like put my experience or feelings in public. But now, my mind has been changed. Maybe it is a good way to relax yourself. It is tired for self to carry everything. Friends' comments will be lights when you miss your way. Their way of viewing will have good effects, either. I would like to continue.

I am happy to meet a lot of friends in Level Two. And some of them will still be my classmates. Instructors and students stay together everyday. We become familiar with each other. I am sad to say good bye to this class. I would like to remember everything happens during this two month. It is a precious experience for me.

Best wishes to Regina, Zalfa and all classmates.

The final exam is coming

Time flies!

I have stayed in Calgary about three month. I still can remember the day when I arrived here clearly. Everybody was busy with celebrating the Christmas Day. The ground was covered with snow. I can remember the first time when I stepped into the EA P's classroom. See different classmates from different countries and cultures. I remember that every student get on well with each other. I remember instructors were working hard on every class. I remember that classmates and I were struggling with the marks, especially writing. But now they have already become history.

As the final exam is coming. Both instructors and students are all crazily busy. We have a pile of things to deal with. Student's have to well prepared with Final Presentation, essay two, blog and quiz. Instructors are busy with dealing our problems, either. But I am sure that we have already stepped into another English Level.

Even though it is not easy, but we can reach it. I hope everyone can do well in the final exam.

April Fool's Day

Do you know the origin of April Fool's Day?

As it was called years ago. All Fool's day is observed in many countries around the world.

The origin of April Fool's Day remain clouded in obscurity. But what is clear is that the tradition of a day devoted to foolery had ancient roots. As we look back in time, many ancient predecessors of April Fool's Day are found.

I used to think that it is a western celebration. But today I notice that seldom people make jokes with each other. I remember that when I was in high school. April Fool's Day was really funny.

We played jokes a lot in that day. Last year, I remember, one of my friend told me that Math teacher was finding me. So I rushed to my teachers office to see if there was something important. But when I arrived, my teacher looked me and said "they were playing jokes, you are not the first one" So embarrassed! Some of them make "cookies"too. They put Colgate in the middle of two cookies and said they are delicious. But when people ate it, I could see their red faces. We enjoyed ourselves that day.

What a interesting festival!

Almost there

It is March 26, 2008 today. We will graduate from Level Two soon.

I have to say that we have so much homework. Assignments, Projects and Quizes all suddenly appeared. My head is full of these. I feel tired.

When I wear ed, a word always come to my mind------ Almost there.

Have you ever gone hiking? Don't you think it is hard for you to forgot the experience? I think the element which made the travel unforgettable is not the beautiful scenery, but the real experience. At first, you will feel thrill to go hiking. You are so exiting to feel tired. Maybe one hour later, you will feel wear ed; you want to stop and go back. while you have already near the top, it is the most hard time. Because you can't go back, but you don't wanna carry on. At this time you should force yourself to go on hiking.

When I go hiking, it is the word push me to go on. Almost there, yes, the top is almost there. You will catch it as you are carrying on.

Now I am exhausted from studying. But I can't give up since the goal is almost there.

Tibet

On Friday, when I sat in the C-train, I saw there were many people paraded near the Chinese embassy. After I saw the word Tibet on their sign, I know their theme was Free Tibet.

I felt ridiculous and angry.

I felt ridiculous because there was even no people who have black hair among them. No they
really know what were they doing. It is possible that they even didn't know what really happened in Tibet China.Their action was meaningless.

I felt angry not because the parade in Calgary, but the Tibetan. There is no doubt that they are Chinese. I think most foreigners don't know the fact that Tibet can't survive without other provinces' support. As it located near the Himalayas Mountain. Seldom plants can be cultivated there. Tibetan commodity are all come from other provinces. Moreover, how can they do this during the special time. As we all known, China will held 2008 Olympic Games this summer. Every Chinese is thrill and work hard on it. How can they make trouble at this time. They must feel guilty.

As well as Taiwan, Tibet is Chinese land, nobody can change it.

Snow

"When I was younger I loved the snow, out in it all day long never had so much fun. Tel my hands where cold and num----- Slipping and sliding, always snow ball fighting snow was so much fun----- Now the years have gone bye, we don't have has much snow as we we used to do. Everyone just shakes their heads and say, that's global warming for you----- But now I am glad you see, because snow is no longer fun I just keep falling on my bum----- Where has my balance gone, I don't remember falling quite so much when I was young----- "

As out the window, I look, is snowing. Snow is falling down from sky. Memory is falling down all around me. This is the second time I see snow on March. Snow seldom falls on March in my home town.

Three years ago, I was a young girl who loves snow very much. Snow fell heavily on a Wednesday. It was thrill for me, and I rushed to the play ground and started making snow balls. Without having gloves, warm cloth and shoes, I didn't feel cold. My girl friends were with me too. Just in several minutes, we had made a pile of snow balls. We started to using snow balls to fight with boys. At first we separate into two groups, one threw, another made snow balls. But boys divided us. Moreover, they made several groups to chase us. When they catched us, they pulled us down and pushed snow on our bodies. Laughter, screams and cries filled all campus.

Now, I am far away form them, far away from 15. I won't go back to that time. I won't get exhausted because of playing with snow. Me is different from me at that time, even though I don't want change. Now I understand why my grand parents always say they envy me.

Snow, you used to be so much fun when I was young. But now just a pain to me…

10,000 BC

Tonight, my uncle and I went to Empire Theatre to see a film. It was the first time for me to go a theatre in Clagary. I think the theater and the movie are both wonderful. One the first floor og the theater, you can play games, buy food and tickets. On the second floor, there are numerous halls. Our movie was showed in the 6 hall. We sat in the middle of the hall. I think it is one of the best seats. And the equipment is good, either.

Then I will introduce the movie to you. It is called 10,000 BC. The director neamed Poland Emmerich comes a sweeping odyssey into a mythical age of prophesies and gods.In a remote moutain the young hunter, D'leh( Steven Strait), who has found his fell in love with beautiful Evolet( Camilla Belle) is very brave. He forced a small group people to go over mountains to save their companies and the girl. The most important part of this film is how D'leh makes companies with other race and against the " the power of god". I think it is a little like a legend. But I like it. And Steven is so handsom, I like his show.

I would like to go there again.

I am go crazy!

This semester will be finished soon. We will start our level three on May, and finish it on July. I am preparing go back Beijing on August. I miss my parents, and they hope I can go back too.

I used to think that go home is a easy thing. All you have to do is book the ticket and well- prepared for it. But now I am really shocked by the ticket price. Can you guess how much it costs now? It is nearly 2000$.Oh, my angle! It is so expensive. And it arises higher and higher. Two days ago I check it on line, it is about 1850$. How can it changes so fast. I am sad now. Maybe I won't go home and get together with my family members and friends. You know, when I made phone calls with travle agencies, they first asked me where would I want to go. But after I told them I want to go to Beijing, they all smiled and said it is the most expensive one, well-prepared please. How it comes!

Some classmates told me that maybe Aircanada would give some special tickets. I hope it will give. I decide to wait till April. If it doesn't give, I will find another way to solve it. No mater how dear it is, I won't give up going back home. Maybe I will find a job and make some money or go to other cities first------whatever! I WNAT GO HOME! Go home!

Favourite Radio Satation

Listening to the radio is a good way to relax for me. I live so far away form the university of Calgary. You know, the university station is the third station from D, and my station is the third station from Somerset. Moreover, I have to take a bus after I get off the C-train. So it takes me almost more than two hours to " travel" everyday. It is boring for me to sit still on the bus or on the C-train. And it is not good for me to read books on them. Of cause listening to the radio becomes my favorite.

Here I want to introduce two radio station for you. One is 98.5 music station, the other one is 99.1 CBC news. Maybe you have already know them. I just want to say I really like them. let's talk 98.5 music station. I hear ed a lot of popular songs from it. Like Unlove You, Tattoo and so on. When I first hear ed these songs, which I am interested in. I remembered the time when them were played. Then after going back home, I found the names of those songs on the 98.5 stations web sit. If I like, I can download them, either.

In addition, I like 99.1 too. When I want to practise my listening skill, I will listen to it. Because it not just reports news. it also includes some interesting conversations. While I am entertaining, I am practising my listening skill. That's cool!

When you have time to kill, maybe you can have a try. I hope you like them.

Go skiing

Last Sunday, I have gone to Banff to ski. It was first time for me to go skiing.

It took us about one hour to get there. On our way Banff, the scenery was as beautiful as a picture: shinning sun, flying clouds, dancing mountains. I didn’t know the exact place where Nakiska locates. But the mountains made it up.

I took a lesson to learn how to ski. The trainer was a young woman. The classmates were all older than me. First, she taught us how to take on and take off the boots. Then we learned how to walk on the snow. Our poles were put behind us. She asked us to practise without poles.

Even though the trainer taught us how to stop patiently, I still couldn’t stop well. Of cause I had some accidents, I crashed down a girl when I was skiing down from the slope. I thought she was hurt. I felt sorry for her, and I didn’t mean to do that. But his father said it was ok, beginners always did like that. I think he is that kind. Maybe he just noticed that I felt guilty. After that I skied more carefully. We left Nakiska about 4 o’clock.

I like skiing; I would like to go skiing again.

If some of you like it, we can go together next time.

A Happy Night

Today I feel so happy. Not just because the good weather, but I have nice chats with my high school classmates.
They are still at home celebrating the spring festival. They had a night party during spring festival. They know I have gone abroad so they e-mail me and let me know somthing about it . I feel upset when I know they get together without me. I miss them very much. You know most of them are grow up toghether with me. We are like siblings. But now I am stay so far away from them.
They send me some pictures about their universities and new friends. I am surprise that some of them make boyfriends and girlfriends. I think it comes so soon. You know in our high school, it isn't allowed to make boy or girl friends. Of cause most of us don't have. But now------- And when I look at their recently pictures, I just can not believe my eyes. They are all changed a lot. They look more beautiful and mature than before. They have make-up and ear rings.

Time flies!

Something will change frequently and dramatically, but I am sure that our friendship will last forever!

The fact shocked me

As we all know, panda, which is just live in the forests in China, is the national treasure in my country. Noadays, it is nearly distinct. I love it very much. Its grace, beautiful and comic attract me. It always has a somewhat goofy looking smile. There is no doubt that I used to be a absolutaly membership to sustain protect panda action. But I was shocked in an class by my english teacher.
I was deceived by the appearance. Feed them will cost a lot of money. In 1999, our country sent Atlanta zoo ( in American) two pandas. But after three years, the zoo suffer a loss about 33,000,000$ because of the pandas. What a mazing number. Even in China, a panda will cost at least 500,oooRMB. And in Sichuan provience abot 160 pandas are feed. Is sustain protect pandas action is right? I am not sure now. China is a developing country. There are a number people have no food to eat no water to drink. I would like to show you another number. A chinese child who lives in very poor family just will cost 50 RMB per year. And this fee include the cost for he or her to go to school(just for poor children). But there are still 3,000,000 can not go to school. What a pity. If we use the money to let them to go to school, I think the education problem will improve a lot.
Some people say it is unfair to panadas. Is human beings destroyed their homeland. I used to hold the opinion like that. But now I am changed by my teacher. It is a trpical case of THE SURVIVAL OF THE FITEST. Pandas just eat single food and their walk speed is slow, too. According to the THEORY of EVOLUTION, the havs already been evolved completely. There is no need to protect them maybe( even though I would not like this lovely creature disappear on the earth).
It is a hard problem to solve I think, what do you think of it?
